Title: Random sub adventures - Sub of the day: USLMv3
Thread Modes
#85
First round of 6 loops done yesterday - 5 under headphones, then the last one immediately afterwards via speakers in my bedroom. Listening to the loops felt surprisingly smooth, very relaxed. Something I've noticed was that I was starting to clean my apartment (and that was about time!) - was wondering for a sec if Shannon didnt mix up the subs and put OP in there instead Wink

During the night then I had trouble sleeping, because my mind was racing - nothing consciously tangible but I very much felt that my subc was damn busy. And slightly strange: For about an hour or so I felt my body heating up significantly, especially my legs.

So I did not have enough sleep last night, but I'm feeling surprisingly fine and awake this morning.

Tonight's loops will most likely be divided again - probably 3 over hps and 3 via speakers at night then.

Small update after the third day: I'm not 100% certain yet, but it seems the FRM is working on overcoming my social anxiety. Usually when people I don't know (or actually often even with people I do know) come for a little bit of smalltalk, I cut them short or somehow try to avoid it. Over the last two days I found I have been much more open to socialising that way, and I feel more comfortable doing so than I have before.

I'm not sure why the FRM targeted this one in USLM, but it's a welcome change of course.

Otherwise I do get a few glimpses of unusual thought patterns that hint at me having a deeper belief in my success in a couple of areas.

I noticed that my stuttering has gotten worse the past few days and my social awkwardness has too. It’s too early to say but maybe FRM is bringing these up to the forefront and they are being dealt with headon.

Very cool. Shows the effect of FRM especially since you've used several past programs and now saying it's made you more comfortable than you have been before.

So... it's 12 days now on USLM v3 (a bit over a month on USLM overall), so guess it's time for another short update. What I've noticed so far:

- As mentioned in my last post, my social anxiety is reduced - I have less trouble talking to people or looking people in the eye, generally more confident in social situations
- I'm way more productive at work. Over the last week I've finally managed to get rid of all the stuff that I had waiting on my long to-do list, but never managed to. So at least job-wise USLM has also helped with procrastination
- Also work-related: I've found that when presenting ideas or leading business calls, I am a lot more confident than before, and my speech is more fluent, less hesitant.
- I've never been exactly great at keeping my apartment clean - this has become a lot better. For the first time in my life guest won't have to announce themselves a week in advance, so I have enough time to clean this mess here. Wink
- I've started working out again (though only a little), and I don't have any difficulty staying on a very clean & healthy diet. Though the last point is not that unusual for me, I have an easier time staying away from the late evening extra bites of food that I usually had before. One of my goals is to loose a certain amount of weight, so both of these points help with that goal.
- Every now and then I feel like having more energy.
- I do practice piano a little more regularly, but not nearly as much as I should. Becoming a good pianist is another one of my goals, so more regular practice of course is needed. I'm not sure if USLM will help with that when I continue listening, or if this would actually be more of a case of UMOP instead (got that one too, heavily resisted the initial new version, but didn't try the v2 yet. I'm planning to stay on USLM for at least a month more).
- Learning composition is on my list of goals, yet not much happened here in terms of feeling more motivated to work at that. Thinking of just starting to sit at my piano or in front of my DAW and starting with that seems to trigger some weird mental resistance still. Maybe also rather a case for UMOP - who knows...
- I can't say that I've seen anything that I could attribute to the Luck Maximizer as of yet

Some of the points above are more consistent than others. On the anxiety I actually had two days last week when I felt a pretty bad case of anxiety - maybe not too far from a little panic attack - when riding the subway to work. It was very crowded in there, and I very much dislike being so closed in with many strangers. I guess that triggered it. Was way worse than it was since a long time. Possibly USLM had brought up a fear related to this in the day(s) before? On the days after this got a lot better again.

So overall I like this sub so far - finally one again that I seem to not just resist. I'm not entirely sure, but besides the new FRM this might also be related to me listening to it in better ways now - I'm running 2 or 3 of the 5 loops in the evening via headphones. And the remaining loops then immediately afterwards on speaker in my bedroom. Those speakers were previously on my wall, not producing much of a stereo field - I've now taking them down and placed them on ear height to the left and right of my head. This might have helped with the execution as well.

In order for the FRM to accomplish a significant amount of it's goals for any given title in v3.2, I strongly recommend 3 months of use on a given title.

Hey Shannon,

Would you say that I could replace USLM with LTU when it comes out, as that one will also contain USLM? Or would that not be the same as continuing with USLM exclusively for at least 3 months?

If you want to dissolve the fears that block USLM, you need to use USLM until FRM has done so.

But since LTU will have USLM, and a more advanced version of USLM, plus a more advanced version of FRM, it seems reasonable that you could accomplish the same goal with either program, thus meaning that it's up to you.

Great, thanks! I was planning to run LTU anyways, and it having UMOP in there too is an additional bonus, so I guess switching to LTU would indeed be the most time efficient way.

I've decided to run a one or two month interlude of DMSI to see if the new FRM will help with me executing it.

A week in now, so far I am seeing some changes in my self confidence, and my body posture. Not much in terms of strange dreams that I can remember, but I think that is probably part of making FRM work smoother and more comfortably for the user. Though I have to admit I would prefer to notice more when things are being worked on. But guess that is different from user to user, no way to please them all.

Another thing very typical of DMSI runs is back: I have a way stronger appetite than usual, so I have to watch out that I don't gain weight again like crazy, as I did on 3.0 and 3.1

I also noticed that my coffee consumation is down a good bit - since the first DMSI day already actually. I usually had 5 cups a day before DMSI. Now it's down to 3.

When LTU is out I will probably run that, for quite a few months. Then when the short skirt season starts again, I'll probably give DMSI (whatever the current version will be then) a longer run, hoping it will help me catch some of those short skirts over the summer Smile So in theory the sub usage for most of 2019 is planned out already.

How'd you do this? Did you take a break after USLM? Or did you have no downtime? Or turbulence?

I downloaded DMSI 3.3 myself when it came out, but no mention of sub mixing has been made yet.

I'm awaiting LTU myself, as 4.2 plus the other new modules in 3.3 are allowing more assertiveness to come forward. This is motivating to me.

Only a short break of a few days to be honest. Interestingly, I had noticed zero turbulence when switching over.
