I think a program for increasing EQ would be a good thing. It's now widely agreed that EQ is more important than IQ. Numerous studies show that a high EQ is a consistent predictor of success.
There are some good books written on the subject and it seems to be better understood now than in the past.
A few books:
- Working with Emotional Intelligence: Daniel Goleman
- Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQ
- Emotional Intelligence 2.0 Travis Bradberry, Jean Greaves and Patrick M. Lencioni
If a sub could help one to make decisions, take action, and think in a manner that reflects a high EQ, while still maintaining respect and dignity, this would be a valuable tool for relationships and in all aspects of life.
