First, see a specialist. A good specialist if you can: there are many options, don’t assume that what worked for your friend will work for you. There could be safer alternatives to the drug you mention, with less side effects. Obviously, only your specialist can determine which med is appropriate for you but I would not insist on that particular medication if I were you. (This is not medical advice, it’s commonly accepted advice for patients.)
Then, I second RTBoss’s advice:
Option 1: OF - focuses mostly on fear which includes anxiety, that seems to be your main issue, or
Option 2: E4 for a broader approach, it will also target fear and anxiety but no so strongly, but otoh covers other areas as well. You might want to read E4’s description.
I would not do AM, it’s old technology and does not focus on your urgent issues.
Edit: after re-reading your message, I think OF is your best bet, I see lots of fear in almost every issue you mention.
If you choose OF - be aware that you will probably get a lot of resistance in the form of doubt, unwillingness to continue, desire to switch to another sub, etc. Just do it, commit to following the instructions for the whole 8 months and don’t doubt yourself or the sub.
