Do noise canceling headphones affect the subliminal?

Curious about this. Got QC35's recently and wonder if noise canceling affects it in any way. I assume it should not since the only outside frequencies should be affected. Just wanted to make sure.

I believe active noise cancelling headphones affect the subs. But passive noise cancelling headphones don't.

The way active noise cancelling headphones work is the produce negative frequencies to negate the noise from outside so it introduces frequencies that shouldn't be there which can interfere with the subs
