Apple is a very successful company, can't argue with that.

Run your business with fear and you can't grow big (or might even fail). Well, not everyone wants to grow big... so run your business with fear. Most people can't overcome fear anyway.
Just like you, I can't please everyone with the words I type. Perhaps TheChosenOne has articulated your perspectives well. You have your viewpoints and I have mine.
If you get to know Shannon and the kinds of products that he creates, perhaps then you will understand my viewpoints better. I don't know you well enough to make a comment of your business ethos. However if you have misunderstood in some way the ethics of their business, I felt compelled to make it right. If they changed the way they do their business I would also feel compelled to voice that out as necessary.
On a separate note, I just noticed in your quoted text that you were one of those who gave suggestions as to what technologies to put into the sub. I want to clarify that my comments regarding what to put in the sub were NOT directed at you personally, rather I made that comment because I skimmed through the thread and found that to be the general tone, and made that comment generally. I did NOT notice nor pay attention to the fact that you were one of the posters who gave suggestions.
Read it what you will. Can't please everybody. Especially when a person is upset or angry, words are easily miscontrued to fit whatever self-fulfilling prophesies in their minds. I have zero control over that and no matter what is typed is in vain. Perhaps some subs might help. Hence, read it what you will and I rest my case.
I don't think Apple was a good example.
1) Do you want me to give you examples of Apple's employees in the US poorly treated?
EDITED: Take a look:

Speaking about scarcity and fear mindset.
2) Why they outsourced a lot of work overseas? Speaking about scarcity and fear mindset.
3) The actual Apple Ceo is just a Ceo, nothing more. Their "no-cannibalization" stuff is a reaction to the competitors aggressive expansion. Aka, Samsung and co. are allover the smartphone market. Speaking about scarcity and fear mindset.
Even the Apple's Ceo mentioned that the customer buyer direction is from Ipad to Mac. Speaking about cannibalization.
I don't say Apple's strategy is good or bad. They act in an extremely competitive environment and they act accordingly. Like every other successful company, they are extremely pragmatic, goal and action-oriented company. And the "have no fear" mambo jambo it's JUST P.R. (Public Relations)
I recommend you to learn more about marketing. And start with the basics - Philip Kotler. Using marketing/business techiques has nothing to do with scarcity or fear ... . Of course, used in an ethical way.
Before recommending me any subs, please temper yourself. Maybe you know Shannon personally, but it's better to keep this for yourself.
All the best!
*** yes, my nickname is not the best example of the zen attitude. I chose it because of lack of inspiration.
*** I hope Base 5g will be extremely action-oriented, goal-oriented sub. Along with the personality expansion.
