It's still a good idea to remain flexible. Like Tony Robbins says: "Stay committed to your decisions but stay flexible in your approach"

I think using a sub falls under the "approach" category. At least for me, I use subs to help me get where I want to go. Where I want to go never changes, but the subs I use most definitely will as new challenges arise.
