Down-times like these are quite unusual in webhosting.

I also see that your DNS are pointing to your own nameservers, which probably means this is more likely an in-house manpower and resources issue than anything else.

Any plans to use 3rd party redundant servers to mitigate such prolonged down-times in the future?

That is correct. We are dealing with an interruption in our server migration. I don't know the answers to the rest.

page. It was through a link related to pirated copies in the news section
