RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 02-05-2016

I know you guys want Renaissance Man. I also know there are a million and one things to do, and I have to prioritize. I also know that some of what I am doing in R&D is secret, and you guys are gonna love it, but I can't talk about it yet and it's going to take priority. So RM is in queue, but not close to the surface right now.

Hey Shannon. I loved to see that you are into economics in the AM7 thread. It was just a few lines there, but sadly enough most people have no understanding of the economic system at all. It's good to see that people taking care of themselves in that area!

Btw, I read these posts in your journal that you are working until 3AM somtimes. I presume you work these hours in front of a computer screen? Have you tried f.lux on your computer yet? Optimizing the light in your environment might really improve your productivity. I do not know of course, whether it is good or not right now. I would love advice you on it, if it is not an area of your expertise. Just let me know!

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - maxx55 - 02-05-2016

Hey Shannon,

It seems like Minititan is having less results during his second run of SM3 than his first run. He ran AM5 before his first run of SM, but then ran AM6 and went for SM again. So how is it possible for him to not even get at least the same results as he did during his first run?

This has me curious now... what obvious and notable limitations for subs have you observed so far? Is that list too big to name, or do you have general idea / summary of what's not currently possible (but you may be proactively working on).

**I hope you see i wasn't attacking you or the DYBS sub. That's just one aspect of BASE I haven't notably experienced the affects of yet.

I did not take this as an attack. I was just making you aware of the situation.

I'm not entirely sure what's not possible right now, because I try to focus on and in what is possible. But I don't expect a "dream your winning lotto numbers" type program to be very effective any time soon. I have concluded that winning the lottery usually is something that a person experiences for a specific reason, and while it may appear to be random from our point of view, it is not. I don't believe that many major life altering experiences are going to be at random. The point being, we may be able to dream our winning lotto numbers, but we may not be able to, or allowed to, actually take that information back to our conscious minds. There seems to be a set of rules and limits we are bound by that are intended to subtly guide is to specific end goals, which may or may not be what our conscious mind would prefer.

I have very recently made a breakthrough that totally caught me by surprise, though, and showed me that it is possible to do something I thought was completely un-doable before. I unfortunately cannot elaborate further on that point at this time.

So in conclusion, I have to say that we are probably capable of doing almost anything, but we are not able t exercise those abilities because of the "rules of the system" in which we find ourselves existing right now. What is and is not possible is therefore not entirely know, and may change from person to person.

Soul contracts? They are breakable if it's the will of the individual. There are really no rules except universal law which are a system of repercussions for actions more than rules.

Ha, its interesting that you mentioned that inconceivablezen because I was going to comment on the same thing. I didn't know there were others on this forum who were aware of what the federal reserve was doing with all its money printing. In my opinion its either going to end in very high inflation or hyperinflation. Thats part of the reason why I plan on moving out of the U.S. after I finish my degree :x

Neither did I lol, wow. Cheers to you both.

Anyway, it's clear the house of cards will eventually fall. You can't keep passing the buck over and over and over. Every fiat currency has eventually become worthless. Even back to Athens. Once it's not backed by anything, you always have to ability to print it into oblivion by being irresponsible and short-sighted. While you're busy looking good to voters while passing the buck. That's the problem, nobody wants things to fail "on their watch", so it keeps getting worse and passed down the line.

There's going to have to be a correction sooner or later. A big sign has been China not using the US Dollar anymore and preferring to deal in other currencies, even their own. They own a ton of US debt, so it's a big sign they are losing confidence in the US Dollar, as they probably should to be honest. The Federal Reserve can keep spamming QE's all they want, but it's just trying to swim upstream. I think fractional reserve banking was the first sign of the massive abuse that's been done.

It's pretty clear sooner or later, it will have to revert to a gold standard.

I also use F.lux already several months. This application is very useful for computer users who use the computer until late at night.

It helped me get a better sleep.

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Inconceivablezen - 02-05-2016

@ Wayhu and the rest of the forum. This is basically very much simplified and the science goes a lot deeper but:

Yes. F.lux is just the first step in optimizing the artificial lighting in the environment. It's terrible for your concentration, attention, focus, mood, etc when you are in front of a computer monitor all day. As I am in front of it most of the day, I have everything handled in terms of artificial lighting to improve my productivity as much as possible. F.lux is always on here, to balance the red/blue spectrum, even during the day. I supplement with full spectrum reptile lights that contain both UV and infrared, just as the sun does. Most artificial lighting and computer monitors do not contain these frequencies. Vitamin D created in the skin by UVB light only gives 20% of the total benefits of UV light. You need UV light through the eyes as well, in order to create dopamine and serotonin. Your body can also store infrared light in the body's water for later energy use. There's actually a fourth phase of water, next to liquid, gas and solid (ice). Infrared light is stored in that fourth phase in the body.

Quick edit: Even though I follow three master's degrees, I avoid the university as much as possible. It shotguns my energy levels. I wear 50% blueblocker glasses there most of the time to avoid the excessive blue light during the day. These glasses do not block all the blue light, as you need some blue light during the day. Besides bad artificial lighting setups, these places also contain lots of non-native EMF's which might also be a problem, but there is a LOT of scientific debate and controversy on this topic.

Where will you move DarthXedonias? The sad thing is, all contries are destroying their economies. The EU and China do the same thing. The US also slowly loses some freedom every year, but there are bright points as well. Gay rights are better than ten years ago, and people are slowly turning against the war on drugs. But I'm afraid that it's too little, too late.

Ain´t that something? I was rather sure Shannon would be aware about fed and it´s funny money (or should I say funny currency) but I also had a suspicion that there would be couple of members here too...turns out that some I had as "usual suspects" have just been revealed themselves. Whether you live in U.S or anywhere else, the smart move is to become as little depended on any one country or nationality as possible and become as much self-sustainable as possible on international level so that you can hit the road before the government near you goes from retarded to flat out insane and desperate and start to freeze bank accounts, tighten boarders/restrict transportation, restrict wealth transfers (alto that one is already in awful shape for those of you who are U.S citizens), confiscate gold of the citizens (like they did in 1933) and whatever freedom limiting measures they come up next in order to make the citizens to pay for the stupidity that the gov created in the first place.

I think these days becoming self sustainable on GLOBAL level is the new requirement for true transcended alpha. I wonder how much of the programming in AM7 will lend itself towards it, how "flexible" it is for the mind to interpret what we individually consider to be the full expression and life of true alpha. It can be different for each person. Granted, we gotta start from somewhere and there are some basic requirements that constitutes as alpha that needs to be taken care of first but I guess after the basics AM is about building your life to the fullest and that´s where the individual goals comes in. I also found BASE 2.1 to be really badass regarding to some of these bigger goals. AM helps to you to become self directed and transcended alpha and BASE helps to take it to the international level (since that requires financial sustainability) if one so desires.

Just some food for thought...

This is true to a degree but I think there will be some countries that will be able to recover and others that will not. I mainly believe western countries (EU, USA, Canada) will be the ones that won't recover and the ones that see what is coming (mainly none western countries) will be able to prepare and mitigate some of the damage this coming correction is going to bring. I mean as catman pointed out and I have read lots of countries , including china, are starting to diverse away from the US dollar because they obviously see whats coming. I think thats also why the BRICS made the BRICS bank two years ago. The BRICS know the IMF is not going to be really competitive after the crash hits so I think they are trying to jump at this opportunity.

As far as what country, not sure yet. I plan on teaching english as a foreign language for a while and in the process hopefully I will find a non-western country that I like and want to stay in. My main concern right now is not to be holding my wealth in US dollars when this whole thing happens, that way I might actually get some good opportunities to prosper when this thing hits and buy assets (Stocks, land, etc) when they are dirt cheap when you convert from a strong currency to USD.

On a side note, its hilarious how people act when you try to explain to them what the Federal reserve is doing to the currency. Its like they just don't want to believe that it could happen so they just dismiss it and keep going about their lives as though its not going to happen. Its like they believe the laws of economics don't apply to certain countries. Anyway, thats my rant for today.

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - JackOfHearts - 02-07-2016

From what I understand the USA economy depends a lot on other country. That is the trust factor.
The current war in Syria and the others in the Arabs country is closely related to the USA economy.
From what I heard the USA is trying to prevent a partnership between China, Russia and the other arabs country. That's what the current war is all about, money, control, power. Europe is currently with the USA. But if the USA economic fail they can still change side and go with China and Russia. The USA has the dominance over the world since World War II. Since China recent progress their dominance over the world can change. If Russia and China become partner the USA will have a serious problem financially. Money and War.

Very interesting topic. But it's not really about Shannon's Journal, more about economics. Open a thread in the Chatter Box and everybody will love it. I too might chime in with my opinion. But not here.
