I've had experiences where I do want to achieve something and I achieve it. But I've also had those experiences where I want to achieve something and it straight up didn't work. The thing that made it feel really bad at those times were that everyone else around me seemed to have success in it no problem or had achieved what I wanted. Those times it didn't work in the past were things that were major for me like building a business to be financially free and do what I want and having the plethora of women I wanted in my life.

It definitely seems the place I'm headed now is much better than the place I've been before Smile

Desire is only useful as a director of attention and interst, and as a motivator, without becoming all-consuming.

I desire to become wealthy. That desire is my director, it gives my mind a direction, a goal. From that, it creates a cascade effect that results in motivation to act in the ways that result in achieving the goal.

But if becoming a millionaire was an all consuming desire, and I could not see or do anything else, it might still work for me to achieve, or it might end up causing me to do one of two other things that could destroy my success. The first being that the focus is so great that I delude my conscious awareness into believing that I am focused on the goal when in reality I am subconsciously focusing my conscious mind on the goal, so much and so narrowly that I effectively self sabotage and cannot actually achieve it - which is what Julien was talking about. The second escapes me now that I have finished describing the first, so perhaps at some other time I'll remember.

Focus and desire can be used like anything else to achieve or prevent. It requires the right balance.

The key to all success is not desire, but focused and balanced desire that is consistent and persistent, which is acted on in the right ways. In other words, you can desire all you like, but if you never act on that desire, then you're effectively mentally masturbating. And if when you act on your desire you fail, and then you give up, you are again effectively mentally masturbating.

Failure is a natural, common sense consequence of not being all knowing and all powerful. But failure only exists when and if you don't keep trying to succeed. Learn from your setbacks, mistakes, and failures, and you can learn enough to succeed. But to get to that point, you must maintain desire to achieve the goal, and balance that desire with focus and determination, and then apply action, and also perseverance.

I get the impression that what Julien was talking about was primarily these guys who self sabotage by focusing entirely on desire, without applying any of the other factors.

I think this is first time you said mentioned mental masturbation. I found this funny. Tongue

Some people like to masturbate in the standard sense, and some people like to do it mentally or verbally.

Look into Kudzu root for cluster headache relief. Also have heard capsaicin and melatonin can be helpful.

I have tried almost everything. The only things I have not tried are psylocibin and capsacin. Capsacin is administered nasally for headaches, from what I understand, and works by overloading your pain receptors. I don't need that.

GPR10 works better for me on this than anything else, by leaps and bounds. Even prescription meds. And I aim to make it a heckuva lot more effective in the next versions.

Before I had GPR10, the only things that would produce pain relief for my cluster headaches were, occasionally the heavy duty nasal decongestant pills would help if I caught it early enough - but it was far from guaranteed that this would be effective; or, I could fall asleep. Sleep was the only sure way to kill the pain. NOTHING else touched it. So seeing GPR10 do what it's done in the past and currently is nothing short of miraculous.

LSD is apparently effective as well.

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 03-30-2016

Normally, I start feeling it coming on in my left eye or left temple and eye. It normally, untreated, takes 20-30 minutes to go from a noticeable thing to full blown out of this world pain, and feels like someone has pinned me down by stabbing a white hot iron rod (or two) through my eye and out my skull. If I could stop my heart and give up breathing during that part, I would. Moving at all is incredibly painful.

But, with GPR10, this year I have had seven start and six be defeated. I am currently in the process of defeating the 7th, and GPR10 is again winning. Last year I had a couple make it through GPR10 to partial expression, and those confined me to bed and laying still for 45 minutes to 2 hours. But compare that to what normally would be the case: laying in bed, un-moving, for 4 to 10 hours, and trying to stay asleep the whole time, while my left eye is swollen shut and I suffer in unbelievable pain and, while I remain awake, contemplate suicide to end it. Most times, my eye doesn't swell at all with GPR10.

Have to say, again, I am mighty damned impressed with GPR10.

And yet, one of my testers gets migraines which are only mildly helped by this same program, and another says that her migraines are completely wiped out. So clearly it needs work still, but regardless... I am damned impressed.

Even though I think it's fine, I just want to be sure. Shannon, are nootropics safe to take while using your subs?

I'm debating trying them at my age, especially with the free samples offered online, but at the latest I'll try them at 25.

That is outside my area of knowledge.

Nootropics made my results worse on am.

Before you go down the Nootropics path, if you haven't already I highly recommend looking into your diet first. Here is a good place to start:

http://perfecthealthdiet.com/the-diet/

I normally do 30 day detoxes using the Whole30 http://whole30.com/whole30-program-rules/

You may question what this has todo with brain performance, but its amazing how a good clean diet improves your mental ability

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - maxx55 - 03-31-2016

Thanks for the feedback guys! Since they made your AM results worse Dzemoo, I know to avoid them. I'll look up your journal to find out some more specifics.

And yeah, I totally agree nutrition is important. While I'm on campus, I don't eat eat Primal like I do when I'm at home. I do make better choices though. As for a detoxes, I already planned on doing one as soon as summer started. The one you posted seems to be exactly the kind I've been looking for, so thanks!

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - RTBoss - 03-31-2016

Dude, don't let one person's experience make your decision for you.

Why don't you try it for yourself and see what's best for you.

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 03-31-2016

I suggest a lot of research from a wide variety of sources before taking action.
