Now I read that wmp is not recommended.... could anyone she'd light on this?
The reason I've read it's not recommended is because it's got an internal equalizer of sorts that tweaks the output a little bit. Since it can't be turned off by design, because... Microsoft, it's not recommended. If you can use WMP, you can use VLC as well. It's an easy switch. And VLC is recommended, because you have full control over it.
Having said that, I haven't done any research about whether what was mentioned on here about WMP is correct or not. I just switched to VLC as soon as I read the comments.
Also, don't worry about the thought that you've completely lost your time so far because you were using WMP. You haven't. I works okay. People have seen results with it. Also, I happen to hear the ultrasonic track. It plays it just fine.
