RE: Question for Andrew
Is that like the thing Bruce Lee used to use that sends a jolt to your muscles and works them out?

I'm not sure what he used but I don't think that's it. This is what I'm talking about.

RE: Question for Andrew
Wow, i've never seen one before. But stuff like that I see as a scam.

Just people trying to get your money, to get results with exercise you have to work hard. It really screams ***** to me.

I love the 'russian scientists' angle. It's one i've noticed in a few advertisments for different things. For some reason russian scientists must be really advanced! Smile

RE: Question for Andrew
We have a place near me that has a class for them so I was thinking of trying that first before buying one. But the classes are pricey, so that's why I asked Andrew, thinking because he's into fitness, he may know something about them. I don't think they can produce miracles, but I was thinking that it may be beneficial for someone my age, who hasn't worked out in a long time, as a place to start. I do like the conveniece of having it in my house also.

RE: Question for Andrew
Yeah you may aswell give it a go. Even though the class is expensive, it's better than buying one and realizing you don't like it.

I am curious what Andrew will say too.

RE: Question for Andrew
Hi Patti,

Since I don't have quite the time to analyze research in depth, I usually form my opinions from ACSM articles. Here's a pdf from my latest subscrip issue:

http://www.healthpodium.com/research/Vib...ercise.pdf

From what I can tell it has promising results and may be an option alongside or instead of isometrics for those unable to do other exercise due to debilitating medical conditions. However, everything I've read on it really doesn't point at it doing much more than that. My opinion is, that it's neat and I'm curious to see where it goes and what they can do with it, but not worth the money. There's just plenty of other options out there that are going to be far more effective.
