RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
No doubt you guys are wondering what is going on with me. Well, the cycle I'm dealing with is kicking my ass once again, since we are in the 3rd pass, and I'm going from issue to issue. Exactly as predicted, and exactly on time for that prediction, I'm back to having computer problems again. Im trying to back up my primary hard disk before I wipe it and rebuild the entire os/build environment, and of course that is also having issues. At the moment I have my disk reporting 0 bytes free, when I know there is at least 12 gigs I freed up, and even then that leaves us with explaining what is using up 493 gigabytes of space that is completely not visible to me.

There are of course issues in other directions adding to the pressure, including this damned hurricane, the recent forum issues and others. I've decided to stay put and ride the hurricane out if possible. The scary thing is that this pass indicates the potential for challenges concerning my home in some way, although that should be peaking in 2018, so let's hope it's not this hurricane.

Anyway, I'm currently unable to work because of these computer issues, since the only thing I can do is log in as root and perform the backups, which ate also going wonky, giving me different numbers for space used per backup... so I have to redo them as well. As root, I dare not access the internet, and I also dare not do anything while the backup is being performed. I'm actually posting from my cell phone. So we are effectively dead in the water right now. If it turns out I need a new disk, again, it is likely to take weeks for me to be able to replace it if this hurricane hits us hard.

So whatever positive actions you can take to help out would be very much appreciated. Positive and helpful energy always welcome.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to get going again, this pass is hitting me harder and faster than I expected. Lets hope I'm not stuck sitting on my hands for mobths again this time.

Best wishes to everyone who was affected in Texas, and everyone else in Florida. I'll update as possible.

Currently getting tropical storm force winds, and seeing branches break off my trees. No damage to house yet, power still on but flickering here and there. I'm dealing with keeping others safe and looked after, so I'm not exactly free to be productive right now regardless. My phone died shortly after the storm started hitting us yesterday, as in, no more screen. Naturally. Perfect timing. So I have to wait until it's all over to go get it replaced.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
Well we made it through. I haven't had a chance to look since last night, but I think my roof took some damage from the storm. My phone died shortly before the storm hit, and may take me a few days to replace. Internet access on the land lines is down, so for the time being, the only way to communicate is through borrowed cell phones. I'll be in communication as possible.

And for those who helped, thank you. I'd call this success.

For those of you wondering what's going on, I'm alright, but my roof took some damage during the storm and I need to replace it. I have running water, electricity and Internet is back up. I'm really busy dealing with the aftermath and helping various people and getting everything dealt with though so I can't come back yet. Was hoping to be able to work again today, but still getting bombarded with stuff. Have to race and chase and take care of stuff instead. I can't read the forums right now because I don't have the time or the energy (hurricanes are really emotionally exhausting!), so please understand that I won't be responding just yet. But I should be back soon, and I hope to be back up and running soon too. So damned tired of these delays.

I am back to work today, but I am also awaiting something, so I can't work on what I want to work on (the custom) until probably tomorrow. In the mean time, I am making optimizations to the skeleton script.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
Just to clarify.

The power level of a subliminal (P) is not necessarily obvious by the resulting actions (A) and responses alone. Therefore, for those of you who assume that Power = Action (P = A), the actual equation is closer to this:

Action = Power/Resistance

Where there is enough power to overcome resistance, there will be more P than R, and the value of A will be greater than 1.0. Where there is not enough power to overcome resistance, the value of A will be equal to or less than 1.0.

Just as with a muscle car, action is the result of the positive forces present interacting with the negative forces present. If you take a Prius and apply the gas, and remove your foot from the brake, it will achieve 80 mph sooner or later. But if you take a monster of a muscle car and apply the brakes and the gas at the same time, but the brakes are exerting more force, you will not go anywhere, regardless of how much power the engine has.

The Prius certainly has less power, but is exhibiting more of the desired action, and the muscle car has more power, but is exhibiting less of the desired action.

This is why it is possible for some of you to get better results from SM3 than DMSI. DMSI is very powerful, but it is not finished being developed and tuned yet, so right now it is triggering more resistance for SOME of you than it can overcome (because it is so powerful).

SM3 is older and much weaker technology, and it is triggering much less resistance, meaning it can overcome what resistance it generates better. It is a finished program and technology set.

DMSI triggers so much resistance because it is so powerful, and because to achieve its goals, you guys have to face a lot of your deep inner fears. If it were not powerful enough to dig down there and get in your face with it, you would not need to resist.

And keep in mind that only some of you have this resistance. Plenty of people have achieved the design goal so far. So just because you haven't experienced it, doesn't mean nobody else has - as a lot of you like to assume.

Nobody should be surprised when I say this, but at this time, my build environment is currently down. In other words, unless I can find a way to, and until I fix it, I cannot build subs.

So let's see how long it takes me to fix this one.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
The build environment fix should have required a simple reinstall of a piece of software. This led to having to manually install when standard install failed, and then having a catch 22 condition where the program could not execute because the enhancements were not installed, while the enhancements could only be installed while the program was running, from within the program. So my 10 minute "oh, gosh, don't I feel stupid for even mentioning this on the forum" expected situation has turned into... I need to reinstall the entire operating system.

Which should take 20 minutes. But of course then I spent 2 hours trying to figure out why the computer would not boot the install media, and when I figured it out and corrected it, it still would not boot the install media.

Apparently, the BIOS settings were also screwed, so I reset those and when it booted the install media, I was all set to reinstall the OS without touching the /home partition, and that was only going to take 20 minutes.

HAhahaha, yeah right. Maybe in someone else's life. Because the root partition, where the operating system installed, was displaying as being 9.9 gigabytes when it should have been 50. So now, not only do I need to reinstall the OS, I need to erase the whole disk and start over again from backup. (/home is encrypted.)

So I spent overnight making three backups of /home (thankfully the computer was still able to boot from the corrupted partition table) and now I am wiping and reinstalling the OS. It will require at least 3 hours to restore /home from backup, if nothing else goes wrong.

So I guess what, 2-3 days to fix a 10 minute issue? (IF it actually works - we may have more story to tell in the not too distant future.) Not that bad for what I'm used to from this cycle.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
I have a change in the situation regarding the custom. Since I cannot do mission critical work right now, my customer has agreed to wait until the cycle is over. This frees me up to work on things, but they cannot be mission critical right now.

This means experimentals, focus-fire subs and the like are now possible.

DMSI is experimental, so I can start working on 3.2. But, before I do that, I am building MLS-B, which removes healing and clearing, and attempts to add a module that prevents reversal resistance. I am just now finishing the development of the first version of that ASS/ART module, and I am going to disable the H&C and begin building it tonight. B is not mission critical because I don't have to do anything but remove something, and I only had to develop one statement.

My life is very chaotic right now. Having a hard time finding time to work because of this. There are a lot of distractions. I'm doing everything I can to juggle everything, but it's a challenge at best. Hoping to be able to finish building MLS-B tomorrow or the next day.

Been having a hell of a lot of very challenging days lately. Spending a lot of time seeking stress relief. Emotional roller coaster like crazy. Not entirely sure what is going on, but it's driving me nuts. Bear with me.

I did decide to start working on the statement in DMSI 3.2 that needed adjustment for the sexual performance issue tonight. I have found a working solution, but it's not fully optimized yet. DMSI 3.2 will be getting work piecemeal, but I have started it.

When I am feeling a bit more stable and not so all over the place, I am planning to work on MLS-B. I have to use the models for it, it turns out, and there are four sections of code left that need to be verified as to whether or not to include them.

For various reasons, I am too exhausted both mentally and emotionally right now to be here answering questions on the forum. I'm going to try to regenerate my energy etc. as quickly as possible, but things are not exactly going according to plan.

I will try to accomplish what I can with subs in the meantime, but I have to prioritize getting past this exhaustion. I have way too much energy going out in way too many directions at once right now, for things I cannot do much about at the moment.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
I am slowly recuperating my energy, but it got so bad that I had to shut down contact with almost everyone, including my girlfriend. In the meantime, I am doing what little work and research I can without draining myself. Preparing to work on DMSI 3.2, doing research on a new subliminal I have been wanting to create, and doing a little work here and there on developing Beast 15. Currently, the models, when they are stable, are indicating the same thing they said when I created MLS-A, which is... MLS-B won't work. So unless I can find some way forward as for what to do, MLS-B may not happen.

The research has been fascinating, but leaves me somewhat baffled. I am getting great results from the prototypes of the program, but the results are not in the direction I had been aiming for. This leaves me confused as to what is wrong, what is missing, etc. but I don't have the energy right now to really dig into it. The results are going to be very useful regardless, just for different things than I thought they would be. Later, when I have more energy I will figure out how to achieve the goals of the prototype.

Beast 15 development is going very slowly. B14 is producing astonishing results when I have the chance to test it, but the results, again, are not what I am aiming for. I think I have discovered a major step forward which is being added to B15, but it will take a while to finish script development and build B15 at this rate.

DMSI 3.2 is being prepared for reception of all of the technological advancements and script tweaks I have developed in the other programs I have created since it was last worked on. Once there is enough energy, I will be doing that, and then when I am free to work, I will begin working on 3.2 alongside something else. Hopefully a focusfire sub. Maybe I will try to build Wart & Mole Remover, since it could probably be done as a focusfire sub, and if I can successfully implement the idea I had for doing that, I should be able to make some important programs from the technology that I would be developing for making it work.

One of the areas I have been researching is what I can do to improve the OED sub. That is a program that I will also be working on at some time in the not too distant future. Speaking of that, I believe I have corrected the script that was triggering that for some of you in DMSI 3.1.

I'm spending most of my time trying to recover energy, but this is what's going on right now. Slow and steady, but still trying to do >0% work. More when I have more energy.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
Each month, I have been trying to stay productive by creating at least a focusfire subliminal for that month. A "focusfire" subliminal is one that has a goal that can be achieved in a minimal number of key statements in the 5.5G skeleton script. Universal Detox, for instance, has one statement that is the key statement, which is modified slightly to create a CORE-A and CORE-B statement. The rest is 5.5G skeleton script.

This month I have been looking for something to build that I could release this month as a focusfire. I came up with wart and mole remover, but that really didn't excite me, so I kept looking. Yesterday, my girlfriend had a panic attack before going to work that was bad enough that it literally made her sick. I realized that I could create an effective subliminal to be an anxiety relief aid in one statement, so I started working on it.

Yesterday and today so far I worked on that one statement. At this point, it is pretty damned complex for a single statement, but it's finished. Now I just have to build the program and upload it.

So before I start working on DMSI 3.2, I will be releasing Anxiety Relief Aid 5.5G. Hopefully I can have that up today, but it should be tomorrow at the latest.

One of the experimentals I am testing for preparation for a new type of subliminal I'm working on has a very interesting and unexpected side effect: it consistently causes mood to shift to a specific positive state. So far the initial state of negativity by type, intensity and depth does not seem to matter. The end result always falls into this particular category. Obviously, I need to do a lot more testing, but this is definitely an eye opening result.

Totally unexpected, but I am going to set that aside and see if, at some point in the future, I can make something to help with balancing out negative moods with it.

We are back to... I can't work because my computer doesn't work, and no matter what I do, it fails. I just had to reinstall the entire operating system and all software, only to have the most critical piece of software spectacularly fail to install and leave me with no option but - reinstall the entire damned system again, and hope it works.

What fun.

RE: Shannon's Journal, Volume 2
I'm getting two factions fighting with each other, and both sides are making arguments against the other that I do not have the energy or strength right now to research and understand well enough to make an effective command decision. Given this, and the fact that things are going much faster than I can keep up with, and the fact that under the influence of this cycle affecting me, no matter what I do or do not do it will blow up in my face, my conclusion is as follows.

I am going to make the command decision to turn this situation over to the only person who has an equal stake in this company, Andrew. Then, I am going to fall back and try to recuperate as best I can, and as possible I will do R&D and develop new subs. I am still working on the anxiety relief aid, which should have been done days ago. This infighting on the forum has caused me no end of trouble, and I am caught in a perpetual catch-22 with it: it stresses me out to not know how to proceed wisely, and to know that no matter what I do, it will blow up in my face. That stress drains me. That draining means I don't have the energy to determine what to do or how to proceed wisely. It is a vicious cycle of it's own, and I cannot get out of it while I am still trying to be management. So for the time being, I am stepping back to a role as R&D and subliminals creation only. Hopefully that will result in something being accomplished.

To those of you who disagree with whatever Andrew does, and feel that I deserve blame for it - there is no better decision or choice I can make. I am getting worse and worse because of this fighting, and me burning out or self destructing over an impossible situation is the last thing we need. So for the sake of my health and ability to continue in the capacity I need to in the future, and for the sake of IML, I am making this choice. I will return to active forum duty when that is possible. Until then, be at peace and I wish you all well.

I am not coming back yet, but I am here to stop by and tell you...

I am finished with Anxiety Relief Aid. Ben has to link up the files and then he can publish it. Be careful with this program, as it is incredibly powerful. Get to know how you respond to it before you do anything that might be unsafe while you are in an altered state. Follow the instructions. Remember that volume will play an important part of how you react to this one. Too high a volume may result in too much effect, so start off with a relatively low volume and adjust upwards as necessary.

I will be working on a special addition for DMSI 3.2 next.

I am still working. At the moment, working on developing aspects of the Reality Bending module. The one in DMSI 3.1 has certainly blown me away so far, resulting in things I would never have believed even possible. This next release of Reality Bending will be a major step up from that.

As part of the new reality bending module, I'm also working on a solution for those of you who are resistant. If it does what I am trying to make it do it should make resistance unnecessary, and therefore largely a non-issue. It probably won't be the end-all be all solution by itself; but if it works as designed, it should relieve a lot of the problems we have been having. 3.2 is definitely going to benefit.

I am working on developing B15 to test the RB module. That should be ready to build in a day or two. Can not wait to test this bad boy out.

I am working on developing a module for DMSI 3.2 that will help men with performance issues. The ARA was built to help with anxiety in executing the script of DMSI and also sexual performance anxiety. This module is going to probably result in either a new version of OED or IER, which I am going to attempt to integrate as for men only, without interrupting the gender non-specificity of the rest of the program, so that it will only affect men and only if they need it. The next thing to come out, then, is likely to be either OED 5.5G or IER 5.5G.

My life has been very challenging and chaotic lately, so I am avoiding the forums while I deal with that and keeping my stress levels as low as possible so I can handle everything that is changing, breaking, shifting and falling apart around me while trying to remain productive and helpful.

More when I have it. Over and out.

Depression Relief Aid 5.5G should be coming out today. I still have to write the product description, but aside from that all we need to do is publish.

I know there's a crowd of you grumbling. Why aren't you working on DMSI 3.2? When is DMSI 3.2 coming out? What's wrong with you, Shannon?

Well ARA and now DRA are being created to address specific parts of the DMSI development process for the "heavy lift rocket engines". So I am working on DMSI. In the mean time, I am also releasing things that will help the business stay afloat and help people. Win win win. You'll live. In the mean time, I'm going to be building OED next, which is being developed hopefully to allow for such an addition to DMSI. I can't guarantee that it will make it into DMSI 3.2, because I can't guarantee that I'll be able to integrate male specific programming and make it work for all. (Hey! Stop that grumbling in the peanut gallery! I know what I'm doing!)

In any case, it's being worked on. It's a big job, and each part is requiring a lot of work. Might as well make a program release where possible while I am at it.
